Customer Review: Excellent filter/durable/too costly!

I have the DC500 vac and it is an excellent portable w/d shopvac.The filter has lasted a few years without replacement but I can see it's starting to get worn. Will have to replace within the year I'm sure. The filter is well made and for me has lasted 3 years.I have always emptied the cannister of water before it filled too high so perhaps this is why the filter has lasted this long. My only beef with the product is it's cost. Seems like it should be priced closer to $12-15.I do clean the filter with an old house/bag vac when emtying out the bin as suction will suffer somewhat if the fins are clogged with debris.
