Customer Review: Great set of blades

This is a great set of blades they are sharp and keep a good edge. I orderd these with my hitichi saw and they work great. However I did find these blades a little short, I needed to cut a double header out and had to run to home depot to get a longer blade.
Description of DEWALT DW4890 15-Piece Reciprocating Saw Blade Tough Case Set
Tough, flexible steel back and Matrix II steel with 8% cobalt cutting edge give maximum durability. Angled shank for faster cutting. 1/2" universal shank. Set includes 5 each of the following 6" blades: Model No. DW4802 (6TPI), DW4808 (14TPI), DW4811 (18TREVIEW:A reciprocating saw is arguably the carpenter's most versatile and valuable power saw. There's virtually no building material it can't cut, if it's fitted with a high-quality blade. Unfortunately the market is flooded with cheap recip saw blades that become dull after just a few minutes. And using dull blades puts extra strain on you and the saw's motor, leading to sloppy cuts and potentially dangerous accidents.
Thankfully DeWALT has addressed this problem with its DW4890, a 15-piece reciprocating saw blade kit that comes with its own impact-resistant carrying case. The case holds 15 super tough, long-lasting recip saw blades. Each blade is 6 inches long and features a unique combination of a flexible break-resistant body and stay-sharp hardened teeth. The result is a blade that keeps cutting long after comparable blades have been tossed in the scrap heap.
The kit includes: five 6-teeth-per-inch woodcutting blades, five 14-teeth-per-inch metal-cutting blades (for thick metal), and five 18-teeth-per-inch metal-cutting blades (for thin metal). These are excellent blades and-better yet-an excellent value. Note that the storage case is reusable; just refill it with new blades when you finally wear out the original ones. --Joseph Truini
